The History of Cotswold Taste
Cotswold Taste was originally set up by entrepreneur Nick Waloff who had a vision of a co-operative which would support food and drink producers in the Cotswolds.
Set up in 2016, the co-operative now has roughly 100 members from around the area.
Just a few of the major achievements in the intervening years have included;
– helping in the formation of Food From England, the umbrella organisation for regional food groups, in 2020.
– continuing to develop links with a wide range of Cotswolds-based and national organisations, and with comparable food and drink quality marques in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
– holding a range of member-focused events across the region, with further ones planned.
– a first successful workshop held under the Aegis of Three Counties Food & Drink Co Ltd, together with Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire and Worcestershire Food & Drink Association.
Sadly and unexpectedly in 2021, Nick caught COVID-19 while in hospital recovering from an operation and passed away. His legacy will continue and the new Board of Directors are working hard to bring Cotswold Taste through this difficult period thanks to the efforts of five management team members working on a voluntary basis.
